History: Ben is the third generation of Lochmorran men to ranch. He claims he was born on a horse and that a cold brand was his teething ring. The truth's not nearly that impressive, but he did grow up to the cowboy life. He married out of high school, he has three sons, a daughter, and half a dozen grandkids. He runs a hundred head of cattle, he's got horses to spare, and even a few dozen sheep, just for company. Over the years, he's had any number of city kids come out and work a summer on the ranch. Some of them by choice, some of them to keep them out of trouble. He counts the good ones as his, too. Some local restaurants serve Lochmorran beef. It's not in supermarkets, for the curious. He's also got an ex-wife who lives in California. After 30 years of marriage, she decided being a rancher's wife wasn't for her. She went her way, Ben stayed put.
